A speck on the horizon #poem by Olivia Mendez

She gazed upon the world below,
a canvas painted in hues of blue.
The forest where her roots did grow,
now just a speck, a distant view.

Her heart, a bird that longed to soar,
had found its freedom in the sky.
The earth below, she loved no more,
her gaze was fixed upon the high.

The stars, her companions, bright and clear,
whispered tales of love and grace.
She felt a peace she’d never known,
a serenity upon her face.

The world below, a fading dream,
a memory of a life now gone.
She soared above, a queen supreme,
her spirit free, her journey on.
