Astronomy Of Expectations #Poem by Jan Sand

The yesterdays that gestate tomorrows in endless chains
Of expectations out of budding possibility to assume
The bloom to proceed to seeds of further fertilities
Operates within assumptions rooted in fantasies of hope.
We each cope with unexpected fatalities wherein our dreams
Turn to smoke to dissipate in winds of chance gusting from reality.

The positives, the negatives, the galaxies of inbetweens that gleam with starshines
Of temptations reshape trajectories with mischievous indications, illusions
To deflect directions out of course into confusions, tumble into empty vacuums of disgrace.
The whys, the hows, the wheres, the whens, snag and deflate to ragged fragments
Spinning into aimless emptiness where no gravity reins to direct the ups and downs.
Society that once provided ideals of propriety is now fatally infected within its own terms,
Thunders with the blunders of antique and useless instabilities while this world
Cracks and spatters everything that matters with acrid deadly poisonous corruptions.

To view distress on this speck of planet Earth as having cosmic consequence is to bleed
irrelevant concerns into a cosmos driven by laws where entropy, emotionless, channels energies
Of inevitability irrespective to the most peculiar complexities of minor living mechanics.
It’s up to us to differentiate potentialities of the idiotic from the necessary and perform
With obvious common sense, a change, currently, that seems to be immense.
