#eBook The garden we never planted by Olivia Mendez

Helen sat on the porch swing of her grandmother’s house, the warm summer breeze carrying the scent of lilacs from the garden.

The garden we never planted

Tom sat beside her, his hand wrapped around hers as if anchoring her to the moment. They were both seventeen, their whole lives stretched out before them like the stars they often counted together.

“I’ve been thinking about the garden again,” Helen said, her voice soft. “Roses along the fence, wildflowers for the bees, and a small patch for vegetables.”

Tom grinned, squeezing her hand. “And a swing set for the kids. Remember? A boy and a girl. Thomas Jr. and… whatever name you like.”

Olivia Mendez writes all kinds of stuff, even contemporary thoughts and opinions. Most of the time she writes fiction, sometimes for teenagers. She has even helped in a graphic novel. Her biggest achievement is been a mother of two.
