Lost Depths #poem Leni Korhonen

Brown eyes, once a mirror to delight,
now veiled in shadows, mournful sight.
Happiness, a fleeting guest taken flight,
leaving emptiness into chilling night.

Where laughter echoed, silence now is deep,
a sorrow that lingers, refusing to sleep.
In those brown eyes, a story untold,
a tale of heartache, a spirit grown cold.

The warmth once radiated turned to frost,
hope extinguished, dream lost.
In the depths of those eyes pain so intense,
prisoner of sorrow, a heart in suspense.
